The New York Mets designated right-hander Cole Sulser for assignment in order to open a spot on the 40-man roster for catcher Logan Porter.Sulser, 34, had a 9.64 ERA in four relief appearances for the Mets this season. He is 7-13 with a 4.06 ERA in 133 lifetime appearances for five different clubs.
