Colorado State WR Tory Horton (knee) done for season

Colorado State wide receiver Tory Horton will have season-ending surgery, head coach Jay Norvell announced.Horton was injured during the Rams’ 31-24 victory over San Jose State on Saturday and will finish his career just 35 yards shy of breaking the Mountain West career receiving record. While the school didn’t supply details of the injury, it appeared he injured his right knee.”His injury is season ending, but he will fully recover and have his chance at the next level with the National Football League,” Norvell said Monday night. “I am appreciative of Tory’s loyalty to the staff and for his sacrifice and leadership to CSU.”Including two seasons at Nevada (2020-21) before transferring to Colorado State, Horton has amassed 3,615 yards on 265 catches with 27 touchdowns in 50 games. The Mountain West career record is 3,649 yards, set by Colorado State’s Rashard Higgins from 2013-15.
