Buffalo defensive end Dawuane Smoot will have surgery for his wrist injured Sunday in a home win over the Miami Dolphins and will be placed on injured reserve, Bills coach Sean McDermott said Monday.Smoot, 29, will miss at least four games. McDermott said the team will know more about Smoot’s recovery timeline after surgery and the coach is hopeful he will return this season.”Sometimes with IR and surgeries, you’re never sure until the doctors get in there and see what exactly the extent of the injury is or was,” McDermott said.
