So this past week after the NFL Combine there was a juicy rumor Washington would be interested in taking Tua Tagovaiola with the 2nd overall pick. I know it’s just a rumor but I’m all aboard the hype train for this! Yes they took Dwyane Haskins 15th overall in last year’s draft, but there is no guarantee that new head coach Ron Rivera is going to stick with Haskins. Plus a precedent has already been set. Last year the Cardinals took Kyler Murray with the 1st overall pick and traded away Josh Rosen who they drafted 10th overall the year before. And guess what? It worked. Murray threw for 3722 yards, 20 touchdowns, 12 interceptions and also ran for 544 yards and 4 touchdowns. The Cardinals got their franchise QB. Meanwhile Rosen struggled on the Dolphins this past season losing playing time to Ryan Fitzpatrick. So if your Washington, do you just go with a quarterback you “might” like or guy who could be a superstar franchise QB. It remains a mystery but it’s a fascinating storyline going forward.

So finally my Buffalo Bills are on the clock. Now I know many Bills fans are screaming at me right now. “WHY DON’T YOU HAVE THE BILLS TAKING A WIDE RECEIVER!?!?” someone is shouting. Well first off, there is a lot that can happen in free agency. Maybe the Bills sign some free agent wide receivers in free agency. Second, the goal for the Bills is to surround Josh Allen with as much talent as possible. I believe if you pair up Jonathan Taylor with Devin Singletary in the backfield, you have a young running back tandem that can be a force in the league. The Bills have always been a run first kind of team. So why not draft the best running back at 22nd overall rather than the 5th or 6th best wide receiver? Plus a strong run game puts less pressure on Josh Allen and thus the passing game could open up. I know it’s more likely the Bills will draft wide receiver, but I mean COME ON look at these highlights!
